This project, Palm Harbor Recreation Center (Project Number: 24002), involves the construction of a new two-story, 6,740 gross square foot assembly building of Type 2B construction, featuring loadbearing exterior CMU walls, composite floor and roof decks, and interior light gauge metal framed walls. The scope includes the installation of all new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, AV/IT, fire protection, and alarm systems, as well as the reconfiguration of existing storage rooms and the demolition of an existing kitchen. Additionally, the new building must be designed to comply with the ICC-500 "2020 500 ICC/NSSA Standard for the Design and Construction of Storm Shelters".
